A cricket ball is thrown at a speed of 56 ms1 in a direction making an angle 30o with the horizontal. Calculate (a) maximum height, (b) Total time taken by the ball to return to the ground and (c) The distance from thrower to the point where the ball returns to the earth.

it is the case of projectile hence,
  1. For maximum heigt : H=u2sinθ2g=562×0.5/20=78.4m
  2. Time of flight, T=2usinθg=2×56×0.510=5.6s
  3. Range, R=u2sin2θg=562×3/210=271.5m
