A cross was made between pure breeding pea plants, one with round and green seeds and the other with wrinkled and yellow seeds.
(a) Write the phenotype of F1 progeny. Give reason for your answer.
(b) Write the different types of F2 progeny obtained along with their ratio when F1 progeny was selfed.

(a) F1 progeny: Round and Yellow seeds. A cross between two pure varieties obtains hybrid progeny exhibiting only dominant phenotype (law of dominance).
(b) The different types of progeny obtained with the ratio is as follows;
9 round and yellow : 3 wrinkled and yellow : 3 round and green : 1 wrinkled and green.
