(a) Define Isotopes.
(b) Write the names of two insert gases.

(i) Isotopes are two or more forms of the same element that contain equal numbers of protons but different numbers of neutrons in their nuclei, and hence differ in relative atomic mass but not in chemical properties.
(ii) Two inert gases are Argon(Ar) and Helium(He).
(iii) 2,8.2 electronic configuration is of Magnesium. It belongs to 2nd group of periodic table and it's valency is 2.
