Solution

a) Multiple ovulation and embryo transfer is the method in which the mother is superovulated and then artificial insemination is practised. The mother is injected with the hormone FSH which results in the production of many eggs. These eggs are removed surgically and then artificial insemination is performed. The fertilised eggs are cultured till the 16-32 celled stage and then implanted into the uterus of the surrogate mother. This technique is commonly practiced in the cattles in which the superior female and male are breed in order to obtain offsprings with superior characters.
Inbreeding Outbreeding
Mating of more closely related individuals.Mating of unrelated animals.
Mating is between animals of the same breed for 4-6 generations. If mating is between animals of same breed then there should be no common ancestors for 4-6 generations.
Advantage is that it increases homozygosity and so is used for developing pure lines.Advantage is that it produces hybrids with desirable characters like better lactation period and high milk productions.
Disadvantage is that it causes inbreeding depression because of which there is decline in survival and reproduction. It causes outbreeding depression because of which there is decline in reproductive fitness.
Mating is between same species. Mating is between different species.
