Breadth of floor $=4m.$

Area of floor (rectangular) $=length\times breadth.$

$=5m\times 4m=20m^2.$

Now, Side of square carpet $=3m.$

Area of square carpet $=side\times side=3\times 3=9m^2$.

Area of floor that is not carpeted $=20m^2-9m^2=11m^2$.
