We know 60 minutes = 1 hour.

As per the given situation, the football team loses 4 yards every 15 minutes.
Number of yards the football team loses in 1 minutes =415 yards

Number of yards the football team loses in 60 minutes =60 × Number of yards football team loses in 1 minute
Number of yards football team loses in 60 minutes =
(60×415) yards

=60×415 yards

=24015 yards (60×4=240)

Now, 240÷15 can be evaluated as:



240÷15=16 R 0

Hence, the football team would lose 16 yards after an hour, i.e., option (b.) is the correct answer.
