Solution

Dear Student,

Let the Cost price of each mango be Rs C
Let the Selling price of each mango be Rs. S

Profit = Selling Price - Cost Price
Profit = 25%
25% of S = S - C
0.25 S = S - C
C = 0.75 S ................... (1)

If selling price of each mango is increased by Rs. 1 then,
Selling Price = S + 1
Profit = 50%
50% of (S+1) = (S + 1) - C
0.5 (S + 1) = (S + 1) - C
0.5S + 0.5 = (S + 1) - C
C - 0.5 S = 0.5
0.75 S - 0.5 S = 0.5 (From (1) )
0.25 S = 0.5
S = 0.50.25
S = 2
C = 0.75 S
C = 0.75 * 2
C = 1.5

Therefore, Initial Selling price of mango is Rs.2 and Cost price of each mango is Rs.1.5
