Solution

Step 1:Find the total cost price of the mangoes

It is given that a fruit seller buys 28 dozen mangoes at 5.50 per dozen

Cost price of 28 dozen mangoes =28×5.5

=154

It is given that a fruit seller buys 28 dozen mangoes at 6.50 per dozen

Now cost price of 28 dozen mangoes =28×6.5

=182

cost price of 56 mangoes =154+182

=336

Step 2: Find selling price of mangoes.

Selling price of 56 mangoes =56×7.5

=420

Step 3:Now find the gain percent

Since S.P is greater than C.P

Gain percent =S.P.-C.P.C.P.×100

=420-336336×100

=84336×100

=8484×4×100

=1004

=25%

Hence, the gain percent is 25%
