Solution

STEP 1: Finding the cost price of 1 dozen eggs when mixed together

Cost price of 2 dozen eggs when mixed together =18+20=Rs.38

Cost price of 1 dozen eggs when mixed together (C.P.) =382=Rs.19

STEP 2: Finding the gain percent when the eggs were sold at 23.75 per dozen

Gain percentage =SP-CPCP×100%

Gain percentage =23.75-1919×100%

Gain percentage =4.7519×100%=25%

Hence, the gain percent when the eggs were sold at 23.75 per dozen is 25%.
