The balanced reactions are given below:
C3H8+5O23CO2+4H2O

C4H10+132O24CO2+5H2O
b
a+b=3 ...(i)
Volume of CO2 formed =3a+4b
3a+4b=10 ...(ii)
By eqs. (i) and (ii) ,b=1 and a=2
Hence, the gas mixture contains initially 2 L of C3H8 and 1 L of C4H10.
