The correct option is A 1b, 2c, 3d
W = mg = 20 gf
Buoyant force (G) = 10×4×0.42 gf = 8 gf
Buoyant force will act upward on plate.

Force due to surface tension
(F) = T ×perimeter of plate in contact with water = 70980×2(10+0.4)gf = 1.49 gf (Since, 1 dyne = 980 gf)
Surface tension will act downward on plate.

Apparent weight = W + F - G = 20 +1.49 - 8 = 13.49 gf
