The correct option is D 35
Let C was the total marks and y% was the passing percentage.
Now, 30% of X+120=y%
30X+12000=100y ........(1)
And, 60% of X240=Y%
60X24000=y% .......(2)
On comparing equation (1) and (2), we get
30X+12000=60X24000
30X60=2400012000
30X=36000
X=1200
Total marks =1200
And passing percentage is =30%+120=30%+10% of 1200=40%.
