Number of workers left on 10th day
= 48 + (10 - 1)(-4)
[ a = 48, d = -4]
= 48 + 9 × (-4)
= 48 - 36 = 12
Now, work done by 48 workers in 1 day =111
Work done by 1 worker in 1 day =111×48
Work done by 12 worker in 1 day =1211×48=144
Then, time taken by the workers left, to complete the entire work, is 44 days.
