Let the mass of truck =M, the mass of car=m
The velocity of truck=v;
The velocity of car =−v, (Negative sign for the opposite direction of motion).
The time for which collision lasts, t=1s
Since acceleration a=forcemass,
Since, force of impact is same,
Hence, acceleration a∝1mass.
As the mass of the car is smaller, therefore the acceleration produced in the car is greater than the acceleration of the truck.
