A laser light from a laser torch was made to fall on a prism. Will a band of 7 colours be observed ? Explain.

The explanation is as follows.

It depends on the colour of laser torch used.
When white light fall on the prisim, the light get diffused into 7 colours.
This shows that the normal light is made up of 7 colours namely
voilet
indigo
blue
green
yellw
orange
red

So when the laser torch is of white colour, yes a bang of 7 colours is obtained.

But if in case it is of some other colour then the observation made is different.
