Let the gain percent be $x %$ .

According to the question,
$(110 % o f 3000) + (100 + x) % o f 3000 = 125 % o f 6000$
$(110 \times 30) + (100 + x) \times 30 = 125 \times 60$
$3300 + 3000 + 30 x = 7500$
$30 x = 1200$
$x = 40 %$
