Open in App
Solution

The cost of 3 lemons in the first case is 5
The cost of 1 lemon in the first case is 53=1.66
The cost of 2 lemons in second case is 4
The cost of 1 lemon in second case is 42=2
So the average cost of 1 lemon is 1.66+22=1.83
The cost of 5 lemons after mixing is 9
The cost of 1 lemon is 95=1.8
Since there is decrease in the cost of lemon ,so it is LOSS
LOSS=1.831.8=0.03
