The correct option is A 2 s after seeing the flash
Distance between first and second man, S1=300 m
Time taken for second man to hear the gunshot after the flash, t1=1 s
Velocity of sound, V=S1t1
V=3001=300 m/s
Distance travelled by the sound to reach the second man after reflecting from the cliff,
S2=150+150+300=600 m
Time taken for the echo to reach the second man,
t2=S2v
t2=600300=2 s
The second man will hear the echo 2 s after the flash and 1 s after hearing the gunshot.
