A man got a 10% increase in his salary. If his new salary is ₹1,54,000, find his original salary.

Let the original salary be x.
So, the new salary after 10% increment is x[1+(10100)]
= 1.1x
Now, according to the problem,
1.1x=1,54,000
x =1,54,0001.1x =1,40,000
So, his original salary is ₹1,40,000
