Open in App
Solution

Let the age of the man be x years
Then age of his son becomes (x24) years [ man is 24 years older than his son]

2 years later from now,
Age of man will be =x+2
and, age of his son will be =(x24+2)=x22

According to the question, we have

Man's age (after 2 years from now) =2× His son's age (after 2 years from now)

2(x22)=x+2
i.e., 2x44=x+2
i.e., x=46
Therefore,
The present age of man=46 years
And present age of his son =4624=22 years
