Solution

The correct option is A

315% decrease

Let the original salary be ₹ 100.
Salary after first increase of 10%
=100+10100 × 100
= ₹110

Salary after second increase of 10%
=110+10100 × 110
= ₹121

Salary after a decrease of 20%
=(12120100) × 121
= ₹ (121 - 24.20)
= ₹96.80

Decrease in salary = 100 - 96.80 = ₹ 3.20

Overall decrease in salary
=3.2100
=3.2%
=315%
