Open in App
Solution

let total journey be x km

the journey travelled by train =25x

the journey travelled by taxi =13x

the journey travelled by bus=16x

the journey travelled by foot =10 km

According to the question, we have

x(25x+13x+16x)=10 km

x[2×65×6+1×103×10+1×56×5]x=10 [lcm of denominators =30]

x[1230+1030+530]x=10

x27x30=10

3x30=10

x=100

Hence, the total length of the journey is 100 km.
