Solution

Dear Student,

According to the given question, man travels at the speed of 40km/hr for 5 hours. Therefore, the distance travelled by the man in 5 hours=40×5=200kmAlso, he spends 1 hour and moved 10 kms.Again he travelled 200 km distance to returned back to his villageat the speed of 50 km/hrTherefore,Time taken by the man to return back to his village=20050=4 hoursThe average speed of the man =Total distance travelledTotal time taken =200+200+105+1+4 =41010 =41 km/hr
