The correct option is B 1.25 atm

Given:
Difference of mercury levels in the two arms = 36.2cm -15.5cm = 20.7cm

Barometric pressure is 743 mm Hg = 74.3 cm Hg
Pressure of the gas in the bulb = Barometric pressure + Difference of mercury levels
= (74.3 cm Hg + (36.2 - 15.5) = 763.7 cm Hg
1 atm = 76 cm Hg
763.7 cm Hg = 9576=1.25atm
