Solution
Height of cylinder =14–5=9 mm,
Radius, r =2.5 mm
Curved surface area of cylinder =2πrh =2π×2.5×9 =45πmm2
Curved surface area of two hemispheres =2×2πr2 =4π×2.52 =25πmm2
Total surface area:
=Curved surface area of cylinder + Curved surface area of two hemispheres
=45π+25π =70π=220mm2
