A metal cylinder has height of 7 cm. The inner radius of cylinder is 1 cm and outer radius is 1.5 cm. Calculate outer surface area and total surface area.

Let the inner radius be r0=1 cm and
Outer radius be r1=1.5 cm
Outer surface area =2πr0h
=2×227×1.5×7
=2×22×1.5
=22×3
=66 cm2
TSA =CSA +Area of 2 circular face
=66+2π(r20r21)
=66+2×227(2.251)
=66+2×227(1.25)
=66+7.857
=73.857
