A metal frame PQRS having resistance 2 Ω, where PQ=QR=RS=15 cm and resistance 2 Ω is moved with a speed of 5 cm s1 in a uniform magnetic field B=2 T which is perpendicular to the plane of the frame as shown in figure. The frame is connected to a network of resistance as shown. Find the current induced in the frame.

The correct option is C 5 mA
Equivalent resistance of the network between P and S is given by

1Req=14+12+14

Req=1 Ω

Total resistance in the circuit will be,

R=1+2=3 Ω

Magnitude of emf induced in the frame is

E=EPQ+EQR+ERS

E=0+Blv+0=2×0.15×5×102

E=15×103 V

Induced current in the circuit is given by

i=ER=15×1033=5 mA

Hence, option (C) is correct.
