Diameter of cylinder $= 1 m$
Radius of cylinder $= \frac{1}{2} m$
Height of cylinder $= 3.2 m$

The surface area of the cylinder

$= 2 π r (r + h) = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times \frac{1}{2} \times (\frac{1}{2} + 3.2) = \frac{22}{7} \times 3.7 = \frac{81.4}{7} m^{2}$

Cost of painting $= R s . 35$ per square meter

Therefore,
Cost of painting cylinder $= 35 \times \frac{81.4}{7} = R s . 407$
