The correct option is A 0.002 cm
Least count of the microscope = Least count of the main scale- least count of the vernier scale
Now,
Least count of the main scale = 120=0.050 cm.
Least count of the vernier scale:
In the vernier scale, 24 divisions of the main scale = 25 divisions of the vernier scale
Thus, length of vernier scale = 2425=0.96 cm.
Hence, least count of vernier scale = 0.9620=0.048
Hence, least count of microscope = 0.050.048=0.002 cm.
