Particles Y being magnetic in nature, can be separated by magnetic separation leaving behind X and Z. Magnetic separation is a process in which magnetic particles are separated out from a mixture using a magnet.

Very light Z particles can be separated from X by winnowing. It is the method in which heavier components of the mixture are separated from the lighter substances with the help of wind. Hence, leaving behind particles X.
