Solution

Given 1 and 2 rupees in the ratio of 5:6.
lets assume that 5x be the number of 1 rupee coin and 6y the number of 2 rupee coins.
so,
5x+6y=85
Since the value of 2 is 2 times 1 we get y=2x
5x +6(2x)=85
5x+ 12x =85
17x=85
x=5.
So total value of 2 rupee coins is 12×5= 60
So number of 2 rupee coin is 60/2=30. And that of one rupee is 25
