Question

A p.d. of 4 V is applied to two resistors of 6Ω and 2Ω connected in series. Calculate:
(a) the combined resistance
(b) the current flowing
(c) the p.d. across the 6Ω resistor.

Open in App
Solution

a) Req=6+2=8Ω

b) current, I=VR=48=12=0.5

c) the p.d. across the 6Ω resistor

V6=I×(R6)=0.5×6=3 volt
