A part of circuit is shown in figure. All capacitors have capacitance of 2μF. Find the charge on C1, C2 and C3.

Solution

By applying Kirchhoff's law

C1(8V)+C2(2V)+C3(5)=0

2(8V)+2(2V)10=0162V+42V10=0

V=104=2.5Volts

q1=C1(82.5)=2(82.5)=11μC

q2=12(22.5)=1μC

q3=2(5)=10μC
