The correct option is C $4 m / s$
Total distance covered by particle $d = v_{1} t_{1} + v_{2} t_{2} + v_{3} t_{3} ∵ t_{1} = t_{2} = t_{3} = 20 sec d = 20 (3 + 4 + 5) = 240 m$
Total time, $T = 3 \times 20 = 60 sec .$
Avg velocity $v = \frac{d}{T} = \frac{240}{60} = 4 m / s$
