The correct option is B 40πms2
As particle moves to diametrically opposite position it's velocity is opposite to initial velocity. Hence change in velocity is 20 m/s. Time taken to reach opposite end is πR/V i.e. π/2.

Hence average acceleration( change in V/time) = 40/π
