Question

A particle moves uniformly in a circle of radius 25 cm at two revolution per second. Find the acceleration of the particle in m/s2.

Open in App
Solution

Given: Radius =25cm=14m
2revolution/sec=ω=2×2π1=4πrad/sec (1revolution =2πrad)
Centripetal Acceleration =ω2r=(4π)2×14=4π2m/s2
Tangential acceleration=0 (As ω is constant which means v is constant in magnitude)
Total a=4π2m/s2
