The correct option is A 2.06 cm
Given:
Focal length of eye-lens, f=2 cm
Object distance, u=60 cm

Let the distance of eye-lens from retina is x. Since the person is clearly able to see the object, the image is formed on the retina.
image distance is, v=x

Using lens formula,
1f=1v1u

12=1x+160

1x=12160=2960

x=6029=2.07 cm

Hence, (A) is the correct answer.
