A person moves 30m north, then 20m east and then 302m south-west. Evaluate its displacement from the original position.

With the help of unit vector we can easily find find final displacement, all we need to do is to write each movement in terms of unit vectors and simply add them will give us result.

finaldisplacement=OA+AB+BC

=30^j+20^i+(30^j30^i)

=10^i

|finaldisplacement|=10mwest^i=west
