From the figure, we have now to calculate just the length of the mirror that is 2x

Now, in ΔOAB and ΔDAC

We see that these are similar triangles.

Hence, ABOB=ACCD

xL/2=H2xL

2x=H2x

3x=H2

2x=H3= required length of mirror.
