A person of mass 80kg is inside an elevator moving upwards against the gravity with an acceleration of 6m/s^2. Taking g = 10m/s^2, what is the net weight of the person?

T= mg + ma = m(g+a)

Therefore net weight = 80(10+6)
= 80 x 16
= 1280 N
