Solution

The correct option is C 15 km
Let distance travelled by train be x km.
So, the distance travelled by bus is (3×x)=3x km.
He also walks 5 km.
Hence, the total distance travelled is 5+x+3x=4x+5 km.

According to the given data, total distance travelled is 65 km.

4x+5=65

Subtracting 5 from both sides of the equation, we get

4x+55=655 4x=60

Now, dividing both sides by 4, we have
4x4=604 x=15

Hence, the person travels 15 km by train.
