A picture is 1.2 m long and 50 cm broad. What is the area of the glass required to cover the picture in the frame?

Given, Length of the picture =1.2m
Breadth of the picture =50 cm=0.5 m
And area of glass required to cover the picture is equal to area of the picture,
required Area=length×breadth
=1.2×0.5=0.6m2
Hence, the required area to cover the picture is 0.6m2.
