Let final common temperature is Tf
According to law of energy conservation :
Heat gained by Zinc piece = Heat lost by water
mZn sT=mH2O sT, where, s is specific heat capacity.
65.38×0.4(Tf293)=180×4.2(373Tf)
=Tf293373Tf=28.90
=29.90Tf=28.90×373+293
Tf=370.32 K
Hence, final common temperature reached by both the zinc and water (Tf)=97.3oC
