According to given question

Number of $50$ paise coins $=4y$

$0.25y+(0.5\times 4y)=1080$

$\Rightarrow 0.25y+2y=1080$

$\Rightarrow 2.25y=1080$

$y=\frac{1080}{2.25}$

$y=480$

Now, number of $0.25$ rupees coins $=Rs480$

Number of $50$ paise coins $=4y=4\times 480=1920$

Hence, this is the answer.
