$∴$ volume of water in 1 sec = $\frac{1500 \times 1000}{5 \times 60} = 5000 c m^{3}$

volume of water flowing = area of cross section x speed of water

$∴$ speed of water = $\frac{5000}{2}$ = 2500cm/s = 25m/s
