The correct option is D 4 cm/s downwards
For the given concave mirror,
u=30 cm, f=20 cm
Using mirror formula,
1f=1v+1u

1v130=120

After solving, we get,
v=60 cm
So, m=vu=(60)30=2

Also, velocity of the image when the object is moving perpendicular to the principal axis, is given by,
vi=mvo
vi=2×2=4 cm/s

Hence, (D) is the correct answer.
