Question

A potential difference of 40 V is applied across a resistance of 8 ohm for a period of 2 minutes . Calculate the charge which passes through the resistor.

Open in App
Solution

This is a simple problem,

first you find thr current ,
and then using that find the charge through the resistor..

I=V/R
=40/8
=5 A

t=2*60=120 sec

charge =I* t
=5*2*60
=600 C

charge across resistor=600C
