The correct option is B 56.0 cm
Let the emfs of the cells connected across AB and AC are E1 and E2 respectively and l1 and l2 are their respective balancing lengths, when connected individually
So, l1=64 cm and l1l2=8 cm

For a potentiometer, Vl

Across points A and B, E1l1

Across points A and C, E1E2l2

E1E1E2=l1l1l2=648=8

l1=8l18l2

l2=7l18=64×78=56 cm

Hence, (B) is the correct answer.
