a punctured tyre becomes flat more easily in summer than in winter .why?
In summer, there are high temperatures that easily causes the rise in temperature of the gas in the tire.
So as it heats up, the gas will expand. So there is a consequent increase in volume and when it finds an escape route, it would easily move out. So they become fore flat in summer than in winter.
We can explain the same thing using gas law(Which obey by almost all type of gases).
Charles's Law states that volume is proportional to temperature (when pressure is constant)
So as temperature increases, volume increases.
