The correct option is D
$20^{\circ}$

As $D = i + e - A$
where i is the angle of incidence, e is the angle of emergence, A is the angle of the equilateral prism.
$∴ D = 40^{\circ} + 40^{\circ} - 60^{\circ} = 20^{\circ}$
